About This Tour
This eight-day cultural circuit is Atlas Tours' most comprehensive Jordan itinerary, moving through ten landmark destinations without doubling back. Beginning in Amman, the route arcs north to Jerash and the forested hill country around Ajloun before turning south along the Kings' Highway — Madaba, Mount Nebo, Al-Karak — and continuing to Petra, Wadi Rum and the Red Sea port of Aqaba. The final stretch rises to the Dead Sea before returning to the capital.
The itinerary's extra days compared with shorter variants translate directly into depth: a full day inside Petra to reach the Monastery as well as the Treasury, an afternoon free in Aqaba for snorkelling above the coral reserve, and leisurely time at the Dead Sea for the mineral mud-wrap experience. Jerash's colonnaded Cardo, the 6th-century mosaic map of the Holy Land in Madaba's St George's Church, and the hilltop vantage of Mount Nebo — where Moses is said to have looked across to the Promised Land — complete the historical arc.
Departures run year-round from Amman; spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November) offer the most comfortable temperatures. The tour pairs naturally with a Holy Land extension across the Allenby Bridge, or with a longer Red Sea stay in Aqaba. Starting from USD 475 per person, the price includes private transport, an English-speaking guide, hotel accommodation and all site entrance fees.
