Addoho was at the center of Riyadh before the city expanded north. Its name comes from the Arabic word 'Al-Dahou,' meaning crowded, reflecting its lively social and commercial life. The neighborhood included private estates and public endowments and hosted mills and wheat grinding facilities, which were vital for the city's food supply.
In 2023, Addoho was restored as part of a heritage project to preserve its traditional architecture and historic character, transforming it into a cultural destination that captures the spirit of old Riyadh with a modern touch.
